Stuck acting as a servant for her evil stepmother and her wicked ugly sisters, Cinderella dreams of adventure, romance and, most of all, freedom. When an invitation to the royal ball arrives, it may just be Cinderella’s ticket out of her humdrum life. With a sprinkling of magic from her Fairy Godmother, Cinderella puts on her glass slippers and makes her way to the party. But when the clock strikes midnight, will she have to return to the life she’s trying to leave behind?

Cinderella is directed by Clive Rowe. An Olivier winner, Rowe is an actor, director and renowned panto dame. You may recognise him from his roles on Tracey Beaker and in Disney’s live-action Beauty and the Beast, but Rowe is a true “panto institution” (Guardian) who has performed as a dame for over three decades and starred at the Hackney Empire for their past 17 pantomimes! Rowe has also directed or co-directed the show since 2021. Previous pantos directed by Rowe include Aladdin, Mother Goose, Dick Whittington and his Cat and Jack and the Beanstalk (co-directed with Tony Whittle).
Rowe has been dubbed the “best panto dame in London, probably the world” by TimeOut - make a wish that he’ll pop on his glad rags alongside his director's hat again this Christmas!
