RuPaul’s drag queens hit the West End for Death Drop, a hilarious “Dragatha Christie” murder mystery. Catch Latrice Royale, Willam and more at the Garrick Theatre from 19 May.

A Dragatha Christie murder mystery

RuPaul’s drag queens don a different kind of costume as they play detective in Death Drop. This “Dragatha Christie” murder mystery will play a socially distanced season at the Garrick Theatre. Forget Professor Plum in the library with the candlestick, this whodunnit is much more modern. Set in 1991, Death Drop sees a glamorous gathering on Tuck Island take a turn for the murderous when each guest airs their dirty laundry. As the stakes get higher than the drag queens’ stilettos, this sashaying show-down will leave audiences in stitches. Death Drop features RuPaul’s Drag Race stars Latrice Royale and Willam alongside a dazzling cast of drag performers including Britain’s Got Talent 2020 semi-finalist, Myra Dubois. The show is based on an idea by Christopher D. Clegg and written by Holly Stars. Bringing some style and sass to the classic whodunnit, Death Drop tickets promise outrageous fun. Watch the queens get their claws out at the Garrick Theatre from 19 May.

Very entertaining and has some good laughs, does feel a little cheesy, under-written and slow at times but if you take it for what it is, you will have a great night out.

Loved the show, great performers especially the drag king playing Rich Whiteman. Much prefer the UK drag performers to the US ones but enjoyed the whole thing.
