Elf! is the story of Buddy, who crawled into Santa’s bag as a child and ended up in the North Pole. He was raised to be a proud, tall and slightly overenthusiastic elf, but when he discovers he’s actually a human, sets off on a journey of self-discovery. The big city of New York is calling him, but can he find his family and remind everyone of the true meaning of Christmas?Elf! The Musical is based on the hit film starring Will Ferrell and returns to the West End to mark 20 years since Buddy appeared on the big screen.
It has a book by Tony Award-winners Thomas Meehan (Annie) and Bob Martin (The Prom) and songs by Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin (The Wedding Singer).

The West End cast of Elf includes many familiar faces from last year’s season including Georgina Castle as Jovie, Rebecca Lock as Emily Hobbs, Nicholas Pound as Santa, Kim Ismay as Debs, and Dermot Canavan as the Store Manager.Matthew Wolfenden, best known as David Metcalfe in Emmerdale, stars as Buddy, opposite Tom Chambers (White Christmas, Top Hat) as Walter Hobbs.

We love Elf the musical, this was our 3rd time seeing it. Joyous , fun show , getting you in the Christmas mood and really catchy songs. Please don't be put off by people who say bits are different to the film, that's because it's not the film! I Read more

It was definitely better than I imagined it would be. A hilarious opening number as well! The music definitely wasn't full out christmassy but more musical theatre which worked really well. No regrets watching it and would recommend :)
