This magical show promises mischievous and heartwarming entertainment for the whole family. Based on the hit Will Ferrell film, Elf! is the story of Buddy, who was accidentally transported to the North Pole as a child and raised as a proud - but very tall and clumsy - elf. When he discovers that he’s actually a human, he sets off on a journey to New York to find his family and get everyone to remember the true meaning of Christmas. Elf! The Musical has a book by Tony Award-winners Thomas Meehan (Annie) and Bob Martin (The Prom), and songs by Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin (The Wedding Singer). Simon Lipkin (Avenue Q; Spamalot) stars as Buddy, with Georgina Castle (Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cinderella) as Jovie, Tom Chambers as Walter Hobbs and Rebecca Lock as Emily Hobbs. We love Elf the musical, this was our 3rd time seeing it. Joyous , fun show , getting you in the Christmas mood and really catchy songs. Please don't be put off by people who say bits are different to the film, that's because it's not the film! I Read more

It was definitely better than I imagined it would be. A hilarious opening number as well! The music definitely wasn't full out christmassy but more musical theatre which worked really well. No regrets watching it and would recommend :)
