Everybody’s Talking About Jamie Tickets Are In The Spotlight

Sparkling coming-of-age musical Everybody’s Talking About Jamie is back in London for a brand new season at the Peacock Theatre! This uplifting story takes us from a classroom in Sheffield to the bright lights of the drag circuit, as one teenager dares to be different.

What is Everybody’s Talking About Jamie about?

Sixteen-year-old Jamie New doesn’t fit in, but why would he want to? He’s a star, no matter what the bullies say, and with the support of his mum and his best friend, this sensational schoolboy is ready to take his first high-heeled steps into the spotlight.

As the school leavers’ prom approaches, Jamie decides that he wants to pursue a career as a drag queen, and attend his leaving party in a dress. His teacher tells him to get real and some of the other kids laugh, but Jamie knows he’s got what it takes. Soon, he is befriending fabulous drag queen Loco Chanelle and her friends, learning how to strut his stuff, and is ready to make a big entrance.

Featuring music by The Feeling's Dan Gillespie Sells and book & lyrics by Tom MacRae, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie at the Peacock Theatre is full of catchy pop tunes including “And You Don’t Even Know It” and “Out of the Darkness”.

Since premiering at the Crucible Theatre in 2017, the musical has dazzled theatregoers with a three-year West End residency and a film adaptation featuring Richard E Grant and Sarah Lancashire.

Who is Everybody’s Talking About Jamie based on?

Fans up and down the country - and across the world - have been inspired by Jamie’s story as he steps into his full potential with spectacular results. After watching Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, you won’t be able to resist feeling inspired too!
