Celebrate the reggae icon's legacy

Celebrate the life and legacy of a reggae icon, set to a live soundtrack of his best-loved hits, with Get Up Stand Up! tickets.

Bob Marley’s name is synonymous with reggae. But whilst many recognise the unmistakable rhythms of his music, fewer know the remarkable story of Marley’s life both on and off stage. From assassination attempts and number one hits to his position as a leading figure of Rastafarianism, Marley remains an inspiration for millions worldwide following his death in 1981.

Get Up, Stand Up! boasts unprecedented access to Marley’s back catalogue, with hits including "3 Little Birds", "No Woman No Cry" and "Exodus" featuring in this story of his life. The musical has a book by Billy Elliott writer Lee Hall and direction by Clint Dyer.

Michael Duke currently leads the Get Up, Stand Up! The Bob Marley Musical London cast as Bob Marley, with other company members including Gabrielle Brooks as Rita Marley, Melissa Brown-Taylor as Marcia Griffiths and Henry Faber as Chris Blackwell, the founder of Island Records.

Best Seats

SeatPlan Recommends: Choose seats towards the left-hand side of the auditorium to get a good view of the pre-show entertainment and beginning of the show, which starts in a box on the right-hand side of the stage that has been transformed into a record store. A small catwalk has been added to the front of the stage, which is used during several songs throughout the show. In the upper sections of the auditorium, choose seats in the first few rows to avoid viewing restrictions when the catwalk is used.

I honestly would give 50 stars if I could! This show was undeniably the best show I have ever seen. From the moment it begins you really want to have a dance and sing along (however you are advised not too....well not right then anyway) it's powerfull, emotional, exciting , funny and I can honestly say you would actually think it's the legend himself singing. Michael Duke portrays him very very well, he has the most amazing voice, as does Gabriella brooks ,(she plays Rita,) both absolute talents in their own right, and she is a powerhouse. Her rendition of no woman no cry is so real, so moving, you really experience all your senses during this show, there really is no words to explain how good it really is, I really want to go again. I would highly recommend.

This was a really good production and the actress playing Rita Marley stood out for me in particular. I didn't know much about the Bob Marley story but found his life incredibly interesting after watching this. Great songs - and I was surprised at how many I recognised!

Excellent renditions of his music. Some stunning solos from the two female leads. Mostly Bob singing throughout and he was great. My only problem was not being able to understand the dialogue because of the strong Jamaican accents and dialect. Everyone up dancing at the end.

A vibrant and energised production of Bob Marley's life and music. The whole cast are incredible, the production is staged really well and feels like a different kind of jukebox musical. Great message from the show with all the hits and crowdpleasers and a good punch of emotion too.
