Glengarry Glen Ross Tickets
Opens 4th June
This revival of Mamet’s explosive, Pulitzer-winning play, about four real-estate agents competing for sales, features an all-female cast.
Glengarry Glen Ross in London
A major revival of Pulitzer Prize-winning play Glengarry Glen Ross comes to the Old Vic Theatre, just by Waterloo, this summer. David Mamet's blistering modern classic delves into the corrupt, capitalistic world of four ruthless real estate agents, who are willing to do anything to make a sale, living by the mantra “Always be closing!”. Directed by Tony winner Patrick Marber, this production marks the play's first major revival in London in almost a decade, and changes the game with an all-female cast. You won't want to miss it!
What Is the Play Glengarry Glen Ross About?
The unseen owners of a Chicago real estate company declare a sales contest: the highest-earning seller will snag the grand prize, a Cadillac, and the glory, while second place will earn a set of steak knives - but the two worst performers will be fired effective immediately. Over the course of two days, four corrupt estate agents battle it out to be top dog, willing to do whatever it takes to win.
When newcomer and upstart, the ruthless Ricky Roma, takes the lead, the other agents - fallen-from-grace former top earner Shelley Levene, timid and unassuming George Aaronow and the loudmouthed, envious Moss - scramble to take the top spot. But when a robbery at the agency adds extra pressure, the office soon becomes a boiling pot of backstabbing, betrayal and bribery.
Glengarry Glen Ross Old Vic Cast
The exciting all-female cast for this revival is to be announced, but audiences should expect some top names treading the boards this summer.
The History of Glengarry Glen Ross
Glengarry Glen Ross premiered at London’s National Theatre in 1983. The show was a critical success, and opened on Broadway the following year, earning four Tony nominations, a Drama Desk Award and the Pulitzer Prize for drama. A film adaptation with an expanded script by Mamet was made in 1992, starring Al Pacino, Jack Lemmon and Alec Baldwin, which was nominated for an Academy Award and a Golden Globe. The show has been revived countless times over the years, most recently in a 2025 Tony-nominated production starring Succession's Kieran Culkin, but this brand new Old Vic production flips the script on its head, featuring an all-female cast for the very first time.
