Heartbeat of Home Tickets
From the producers of Riverdance comes Heartbeat of Home, a glorious and high-octane fusion of world dance styles and live music that runs at the West End’s Piccadilly Theatre from the end of summer.
London was given a sneak preview of the show with two performances at the Palladium earlier in 2019. The piece boasts 33 dancers and live musicians who are global talents in their field. They hail from Britain, Ireland, the USA, Australia, Canada, Italy, Spain and Argentina.
Heartbeat of Home is a joyous spectacle which mixes together Latin, Irish, Afro-Cuban, hip-hop and contemporary dance and music. Expect high-octane energy, sensual moves and heart-quickening sounds, all amplified with cutting-edge projection technology. The Irish Independent pronounced the show “a mix of foreplay, seduction and simulation”.
The production is conceived and directed by John McColgan (The Shaughraun at The Abbey Theatre), and produced by Moya Doherty (Eurovision Song Contest in 1994).
The composer is Brian Byrne, lyrics come from Joseph O’Connor and choreography is the work of David Bolger. Irish dance choreography is by John Carey, set design is by Alan Farquharson, lighting design is by Peter Canning, sound design is by Ciarán Byrne and costume styling is by Monica Ennis and Niamh O'Connor. Padraic Moyles is the show’s associate director.
An intoxicating whirlwind of dance and sound from across the globe, Heartbeat of Home is a feast for the senses. See it at London’s Piccadilly Theatre from 4 September 2019.
Sorry this show closed 14 October 2019, we recommend these similar productions.
