History Made Fun With Horrible Christmas Tickets!

Presents under the tree, Santa on his sleigh, and a huge turkey on the dinner table: we all know what to expect at Christmas! But how did the most wonderful time of the year start, and has it always been so jolly? Find out with the Horrible Histories team’s hilarious and action-packed adventure Horrible Christmas. Take your kids along to Alexandra Palace Theatre for a fun-filled afternoon of history with all the nasty bits left in this winter!

About Horrible Christmas

Christmas is under threat from the worst kind of villain: a jolly, bearded man dressed all in red! Only one boy can save the day, but he’s going to need a lot of help. Join him on an incredible adventure through the history of Christmas as he teams up with Charles Dickens, Oliver Cromwell, Henry VII and St Nicholas.

Horible Christmas is a unique, hilarious and joyful celebration of the festive season. Families can enjoy seeing devilish Victorians, medieval monks, partying Puritans and Tudor treats as they sail through years of gruesomely good stories from the olden days.

Festive Entertainment From the Horrible Histories Team

Inspired by Terry Deary’s Horrible Histories book series, Horrible Histories live on stage has made the past come alive for children across the UK. Their fast-paced, joke-filled shows include Awful Egyptians and Ruthless Romans and Barmy Britain, and parents love them as much as the kids!

Get ready for an “entertaining, engaging, factual and funny” (Mum Club) time as mad facts and incredible nuggets of history are shared by the talented actors on stage. For any children who aren’t sure about learning over their school holidays, this is the perfect combination of “great blend of absurd jokes and very horrific history” (London Theatre). Once you’ve had your fill of hair-raising entertainment at the theatre, why not head to some of London’s best museums to enjoy even more interactive educational fun?
