Ski You at the Theatre With Gwyneth Paltrow Musical Tickets
Camp legal drama meets fast-paced musical parody in I Wish You Well - The Gwyneth Paltrow Ski-Trial Musical at the Criterion Theatre. Based on one of the most high-profile - and meme-worthy - celebrity trials of the 21st century, this hilarious new musical about Gwyneth Paltrow’s infamous skiing accident, and the civil lawsuit that followed, comes to the West End for a strictly limited season following a smash-hit run at Edinburgh Festival Fringe.About I Wish You Well - The Gwyneth Paltrow Ski-Trial Musical
In March 2023, one of the campest celebrity trials in history got underway: Gwyneth vs Terry. Millionaire actress Gwyneth was accused of crashing into Terry on a ski slope, causing lasting injury; she commented that she lost half a day of skiing. As the trial began, social media became an avalanche of memes, viral quotes and obsession. Between questions about Taylor Swift, meandering cow-milking anecdotes and a final whisper of “I wish you well”, this live-streamed legal case was ripe for pop-culture dissection, and perfect material for a new musical!
This (mostly) true story slides headfirst into cheeky parody, with songs including “Do You Know Taylor?” and “I’m Gwynnocent” ready to make you laugh out loud.
The Edinburgh Fringe Hit Comes to London!
This juicy and utterly ridiculous musical opens in the West End following its critically acclaimed season at Edinburgh Festival Fringe’s Underbelly venue - the same place that SIX and Kathy and Stella Solve a Murder! played at before transferring to London.Critics have raved about I Wish You Well’s ability to “keep the momentum high and the ludicrousness levels even higher” (What's On Stage), calling it “both silly and slick” (Musical Theatre Review).
Cast and Creative Team
Forget scented candles and jade eggs, the Gwyneth Paltrow musical has a creative team that delivers the best instant feel-good factor: lots of laughs. The show has an outrageously funny book and lyrics by Roger Dipper and Rick Pearson and is directed by Shiv Rabheru, with musical direction by Debbi Clark and choreography by Arlene Phillips. Paul Taylor-Mills (Heathers the Musical; My Son’s a Queer) produces. After wowing Edinburgh Fringe critics in August 2024, the original cast transfer to the West End. Singer and actress Diana Vickers (X-Factor; Dial M For Murder) stars as Gwyneth, Marc Antolin (Quiz) as Terry, Tori Allen-Martin (Wild About You) as Kristin and Idriss Kargbo (Wicked) as Judge Jude.
