    About the Live Aid Musical

Just For One Day - named after Live Aid performer David Bowie’s iconic song “Heroes” - is the story of one event that cut through a generation. Political unrest, social revolution, financial booms and busts: the 1980s were a time of change, challenge and noise and right in the middle of it, one moment made 1.5 billion people feel united. Live Aid was a landmark cultural and charitable event, as 70 artists performed for free in London and Philadelphia and raised $127 million for famine relief.

We have all seen the photos, watched the performances and maybe even been there ourselves, but now some of the individual stories about what that day meant are ready to be shared. With permission from the Band Aid Charitable Trust, Just For One Day takes us behind the scenes to see how Live Aid came to be.

This inspiring jukebox musical features songs from Bob Dylan, David Bowie, The Who, U2, Queen, The Police, Elton John, Paul McCartney, The Pretenders, The Cars, Status Quo, Paul Weller, Sade, The Boomtown Rats, Bryan Adams, Diana Ross, Ultravox.
