About Kathy And Stella Solve A Murder

BFFs Kathy and Stella are the hosts of Hull’s least successful true crime podcast - it’s more passion than profit! But their hobby takes a personal turn when their favourite author is mysteriously killed. Who did it? And why? Soon, they are thrown into an investigation that takes their fascination for all things murder from the recording studio to real life…

This “comedy gold” (Time Out) musical is a laugh-out-loud ode to the buzzing true crime phenomenon as an unlikely duo decides to pop their detective caps on and crack the case before the killer takes a second victim.

…And if it helps their podcast reach new heights, that wouldn’t hurt either!

Cast and Creative Team

This fantastic new musical has a book and lyrics by Jon Brittain (Rotterdam) and music and lyrics by Matthew Floyd Jones (Frisky; Mannish). It is co-directed by Brittain and Fabian Aloise (Sunset Boulevard).

The teams’ witty and wonderful show has already been a hit with audiences and the glowing reviews speak for themselves - it has received four and five stars across the board, so get ready for a story that promises a night of “utter, unalloyed joy” (The i).

The cast is led by Bronté Barbé as Kathy and Rebekah Hinds as Stella, with Imelda Warren-Green as Erica+.

Hilarious show! I am surprised I haven't seen more buzz for this one. Great show for anyone looking for an over-the-top comedy with camp characters! They have done a lot with quite a simple staging and a small cast. Highly recommend!

Kathy and Stella Solve A Murder! This was a lot of fun with its catchy songs, decent plot lines and not-so-subtle digs at the patriarchy and police - I really liked Fuck! We Don’t Know What We Are Doing as a song. This show has certainly come far fro Read more
