About My Neighbour Totoro
My Neighbour Totoro is the story of sisters Satsuki and Mei, who move to be closer to their sick mother while she receives treatment. As summer stretches before them, they venture into the woods and befriend a medley of flighty spirits, including the larger-than-life forest protector, Totoro.Hayao Miyazaki’s 1988 film is transformed onstage to inspiring and jaw-dropping effect by the Royal Shakespeare Company (Matilda the Musical) and composer Joe Hisaishi. The film’s score is performed live alongside new orchestrations by Will Stuart.
