Cole Escola Joins the Oh, Mary! West End Cast

This summer, the creator behind Oh Mary!’, Cole Escola, will make their West End debut, reprising their Tony Award-winning role as Mary Todd Lincoln for a strictly limited season. Cole Escola In Oh, Mary!

Cole Escola is an American comedian, actor, and playwright who is best known for writing and starring in Oh, Mary!. Their role in the show’s Broadway debut made them the first non-binary winner of the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Play. They were also nominated for a Pulitzer Prize.

Other than Oh, Mary!, their other credits include TV shows like Search Party, Difficult People and The Other Two. Escola has also written and produced TV series like Hacks and Ziwe.

Cole Escola performs for a limited run from 20 July – 15 August 2026.

From 20 July – 1 August, Escola will be joined by Giles Terera as Mary’s Husband, Michael Urie as Mary’s Teacher, Bianca Leigh as Mary’s Chaperone, and Oliver Stockley as Mary’s Husband’s Assistant.
