The Greatest Showman to open in the West End

It has been announced that the stage adaptation of The Greatest Showmanis set to open at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in Spring 2027. Based on the 2017 film, the musical lands in London following its world premiere in Bristol earlier this year. The Greatest Showman Musical in London

The musical, which charts P.T. Barnum’s rise from poverty to the creation of the famous circus, was a huge hit when the film, starring Hugh Jackman, was released. The musical adaptation features music by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, a book by Tim Federle and is directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw (The Book of Mormon).

The Greatest Showman will feature songs from the film, including “A Million Dreams”, “Come Alive” and “Rewrite the Stars” alongside new material specifically written for the show.

Who will star in The Greatest Showman in London?

Leading the cast of The Greatest Showman as P.T. Barnum will be Oliver Tompsett (& Juliet). He will be joined by Samantha Barks (Frozen) as Charity Barnum, Ben Joyce (Shucked) as Phillip Carlyle, Vajèn van den Bosch (Frozen) as JennyLind and Malinda Paris (Disney’s Hercules) as Lettie Lutz.
