Set before the start television show, Peaky Blinders: The Redemption of Thomas Shelby follows the notorious Shelby family as they build their crime empire. Fresh from Flanders and disillusioned by his experiences in the war, Tommy Shelby returns home to post-war industrialised Birmingham, where he falls for mysterious newcomer Grace. But Grace has a secret - she’s an undercover agent sent to infiltrate Tommy’s gang. The two soon tumble into an intoxicating relationship. Can love win out over addiction, trauma and betrayal, or is their romance doomed to fail?Peaky Blinders aired on the BBC and ran for six series, following the Shelby Family and their criminal empire, loosely based on a real gang who operated in Birmingham from the 1880s to the 1920s. Starring Cillian Murphy as Tommy Shelby, with a cast including stars such as Helen McCrory, Tom Hardy, Stephen Graham and Anya Taylor-Joy, Peaky Blinders was a critical success, winning numerous BAFTA, Royal Television Society and National Television Awards.

Peaky Blinders: The Redemption of Thomas Shelby Creative Team
Peaky Blinders: The Redemption of Thomas Shelby is written by Steven Knight, creator of the original television series. Knight is a BAFTA winner and Academy Award nominee. His previous credits include Dirty Pretty Things, Locke and Taboo - plus Knight is one of three creators behind the iconic game show Who Wants to be a Millionaire?. In 2020 Knight was awarded a CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire) for services to drama, entertainment and the community in Birmingham.The show is produced by leading British dance company Rambert, who are known for their innovations in the field of contemporary dance, in association with Birmingham Hippodrome and The Lowry. Direction and choreography is by Rambert’s Artistic Director Benoit Swan Pouffer (So You Think You Can Dance, Amazing Grace). Pouffer is a former principal dancer with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre and the former director of Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet in New York.
Set design is by Moi Tran (A Play For The Living In The Time of Extinction(), with costume design by Richard Gellar (La Cage Aux Folles() and lighting design by Natasha Chivers (Prima Facie(). The show features specially commissioned music by Grammy-nominee Roman Gianarthur (Antebellum() alongside iconic tracks from the show's soundtrack by artists including Radiohead, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.

This stunning show is brought to life by a cast of Rambert’s talented dancers, including Conor Kerrigan as Tommy, Naya Lovell as Grace and Simone Damberg Würtz as Polly, with key scenes narrated in recorded voiceover by award-winning poet, activisist and actor Benjamin Zephaniah, who played Jeremiah in the TV series.
