What is the musical Saving Mozart about?
Prodigy, rebel, genius, icon. But who was Mozart really?
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is one of the world's most well-known composers - but what if the real story of this musical genius has never been told? This new musical takes a look at the man behind the music and delves into Mozart’s past like never before, shedding a spotlight on the lesser-known figures who were key to his creativity. From his sister, Maria Anna - known by her nickname Nannerl - a musician who inspired Wolfgang to create, to his demanding father and teacher, Leopold, and finally to his loving wife, Constanze, who refused to let the world forget him, Saving Mozart brings the people closest to the composer front and centre. Inspired by the incredible true story of resilience, genius and passion, Saving Mozart is a raw, human look at love, creativity and the enduring power of music.
Saving Mozart premiered early in 2025 in Austria - the country of Mozart’s birth - to critical acclaim, and comes to London for a strictly limited run. Secure your tickets today!
