What Is Improv Show Shamilton About?

Inspired by Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Tony-winning smash hit Hamilton, the show is completely improvised, creating a brand new hip-hop infused musical parody about a different historical figure or celebrity each night - based on audience suggestions. The History of Shamilton
Shamilton comes to London following a five-star sell-out runs at Edinburgh Fringe in 2024 and 2025 and at the San Francisco Sketchfest in 2026. Shamilton comes to London in September for a strictly limited two-week run, following another sure-to-be smash-hit season at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2026.

The Creative Team of Shamilton
Shamilton is created and performed by improv troupe Baby Wants Candy. Baby Wants Candy is a critically acclaimed comedy ensemble who were formed in Chicago in 1997. The troupe performs completely improvised musicals, based entirely on audience suggestion, complete with choreography and, frequently, a full band. Baby Wants Candy have performed over 3,000 improvised musicals throughout the USA and internationally.
Musical direction is by Adrien Pellerin, who also accompanies on keys. Shamilton is produced by Baby Wants Candy and Al Samuels.
