St Martin's Theatre Capacity

The St Martin's Theatre has a capacity of 553 seats. Section capacities are 265 Stalls, 135 Dress Circle and 153 Upper Circle. Use our interactive seating plan to view 1653 seat reviews and 1604 photos of views from seat.

The auditorium is smaller than most West End venues. Views of the stage are particularly good from most areas, although safety rails and overhangs can cause restriction. The seats are not the most comfortable, so aisle seats are recommended if you require additional leg room.

Good value seats

Sit in the Upper Circle for some great views at a discounted price. Views are unobstructed, especially in the back row, and chances are you will be allowed to move down into the more expensive seats just before the show starts. Even if you are not so lucky, these seats are good value for money as the theatre is small enough to enjoy the play without obstruction.

Premium seats

The best seats in the house are located towards the front of the Dress Circle. The section feels relatively low, and so views from this level are almost direct with the stage. Aim to sit in the central section, perhaps two rows from the front.

Recommended Box Seats

Every good detective works best when they have some added privacy, so why not see The Mousetrap from the comfort of your own private box and try to work out the culprit in Agatha Christie’s world-famous whodunnit. Located in the Dress Circle, the St Martin’s Theatre box seats are perfect for couples or small groups of friends and have a good view of the action on the stage.

Box A and Box B are situated on the front sides of the Dress Circle and have a capacity for 2 patrons each, an ideal choice for those looking to make date night extra special. Due the intimate nature of the St Martin’s Theatre, the view from these box seats is very close to the stage, enabling you to see every intricate detail of the performance. Further back in the Dress Circle, the Royal Box is a 4-person box that exudes luxury. Accessed by its own private entrance, the box includes an excellent view of the stage, its own bathroom and a small reception room for pre-show and interval drinks. If you’re interested in purchasing seats in the Royal Box, please contact the St Martin’s Theatre box office directly.

Too narrow in between seats , and really steep . There was no room for anyone to pass to take their seats , so everyone who is seating would have to get up and go on the isle to let anyone to go through to their seats. More

Only second row so have to tilt head up slightly but stage not very high and no action missed at all, very central and can see all of the actors expressions clearly. Not that comfortable but more legroom than in similar theatres. More
