What Is the Play The Children About?
In the aftermath of a nuclear disaster, married couple Hazel and Robin are trying to cling to normality, despite living on the edge of a radiation exclusion zone. Hazel has her yoga and stays in contact with their eldest child, Robin farms and brews parsnip wine - so what if electricity is rationed and a geiger counter is on hand at all times?
When their old friend and former colleague, Rose, a nuclear physicist, knocks on their door, their attempt at normality soon crumbles. Rose brings with her buried secrets and a startling proposition that will test the couple’s loyalty and cause them to reassess what they owe to the next generation.
