Espionage Goes Wrong With The Comedy About Spies Tickets

Theatre fans, your mission - if you choose to accept it - is simple: enjoy some of the biggest laughs in the West End with The Comedy About Spies! This riotous new play from Mischief Theatre (The Play That Goes Wrong) dives into the murky world of espionage in 1960s London. Stolen plans for a top-secret weapon, hurried meetings in hotels, and a hefty dose of mistaken identity make this Cold War farce less suave than Bond, but much funnier! Don’t find yourself out of the loop: catch this brand-new comedy at the Noel Coward Theatre.

What is The Comedy About Spies about?

London in the 1960s: fashion, rockin’ music and intrigue at every turn. When a rogue British agent steals top-secret plans for a new weapon, spies from the CIA and KGB meet at the Piccadilly Hotel to smoke out the treacherous mole. This is a Mischief Theatre play though, so nothing’s simple… and the hotel is coincidentally welcoming a young British couple and an actor auditioning for the first ever James Bond film at the same time!

A straightforward mission for the world’s most daring spies quickly turns into a mess of mistaken identity and miscommunication. As the stakes get higher, will the traitor be found in time?

This side-splitting Cold War farce brings together the best tropes from your favourite spy films and flips them on their head. The result? A madcap spoof full of bumbling agents, confused guests, valiantly misguided heroism… and one of the funniest nights out in London.
