The Gruffalo Tickets in London

Take a stroll into the deep dark theatre and discover… The Gruffalo! Celebrate 25 years of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s beloved picture book with this boisterous stage adaptation from Tall Stories. The much-loved show has delighted families around the world and now returns to the West End’s Lyric Theatre, just a short walk from Piccadilly Circus, for another summer season.

About The Gruffalo Stage Show

Join Mouse as she heads into the woods searching for hazelnuts. Along the way, she runs into the eccentric Owl, cunning Fox and sneaky Snake. They’re all hungry and Mouse is the perfect size for their dinner plates! Quick-thinking Mouse distracts them with a tale about the fearsome Gruffalo… but is he just a product of her imagination, or is he real?

The Gruffalo has delivered just the right amount of scares for 25 years and is the most beloved of former Children’s Laureate Julia Donaldson’s creations. With its instantly recognisable illustrations from Axel Scheffler, this award-winning picture book is a modern classic, featuring an eclectic cast of woodland creatures and a small but plucky protagonist. Millions of children have enjoyed it read aloud as a bedtime story or seen it on the television - but this musical adaptation brings it to life in a whole new way!

The Casting of The Gruffalo

Casting for this production is to be announced.

The Creative Team of The Gruffalo

Kid’s theatre company Tall Stories have adapted several classic picture books for the stage, including Elmer and Room on the Broom, but none are quite as beloved as Donaldson’s not-so-fearsome monster. The Gruffalo is packed with songs, laughs, and physical theatre to get the whole family cheering as Mouse’s daring adventure unfolds! Even better, at 60 minutes it is the perfect length for little ones who are watching a theatre show for the very first time.

LOVED THE SHOW! The characters were hilarious. You could feel the anxiety from the kids when they knew the gruffalo was imminently going to arrive but he was humorous which relieved the tension and apprehension! Have recommended to my friends.
