What Is The History Boys About?
Set in a fictional boys’ grammar school in Sheffield, The History Boys follows a group of eight schoolboys as they prepare for their Oxford and Cambridge entrance examinations under the guidance of three teachers, Hector, Irwin, and Lintott, who all have contrasting teaching styles. Reworked for the West End 20 years after its last run, The History Boys explores the value and meaning of education, the anarchy of adolescence and ultimately the nature of history itself.
