The Snail and the Whale Tickets

Apollo Theatre

Set sail on an incredible adventure this Christmas as The Snail and the Whale docks in London. Inspired by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s picture book, catch it at the Apollo Theatre from 1 December.

Escapist fun for all the family

Join a tiny snail and an enormous whale as they embark on a seafaring adventure with The Snail and the Whale tickets in London. The show plays a Christmas season at the Apollo Theatre.

Based on Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s beloved picture book, The Snail and the Whale sees a plucky young girl and her father re-imagine the unlikely story of a snail’s intrepid trip around the world. The tiny adventurer hitches on the tail of a huge humpback whale, and together the duo explore the oceans on an amazing journey. But when the whale gets beached, can his companion save him?

Featuring colourful sets and catchy music to engage even the youngest audience members, The Snail and the Whale is the latest hit from the Olivier Award-nominated Tall Stories (The Gruffalo, Room on the Broom). It is directed by Tall Stories co-founder Toby Mitchell, designed by Isla Shaw and composed by Richard Heacock.

Don your wellies and sailing caps for some thrill-seeking fun this festive period at the Apollo Theatre.
