About The Tiger Who Came To Tea Theatre Show

Sophie and her mummy are about to sit down for their tea when they suddenly hear a loud knock at the door. Who could it be? Surely not a large… stripy… hungry tiger?! They invite him in, but is there enough food for such an unexpected guest?

Packed with colourful characters and costumes, fun sing-a-longs, lots of surprises, and an engaging story that we all know and love, this stage adaptation is magical, roar-some fun for the whole family.

The Tiger Who Came To Tea on stage is a popular show in the West End each summer, bringing the beloved picture book to life with incredible skill. It is adapted by a team of fantastic children’s theatre creatives, including director David Wood OBE, whose other credits include The Witches and Meg and Mog.

The Tiger Who Came To Tea Creative Team

The Tiger Who Came To Tea has been adapted from Judith Kerr’s classic book by David Wood OBE. He’s written and directed several plays and musicals for children, including The Gingerbread Man, The Witches and Babe the Sheep Pig.

The creative team includes designer Susie Caulcutt, associate director/choreographer Emma Clayton, music arranger and supervisor Peter Pontzen, magical illusions by Scott Penrose, lighting designer Tony Simpson and sound designer Shock Productions.
