Based on the McFly star’s best-selling children’s book, this magical, topsy-turvy musical is an adventure that the whole family will enjoy, and a fantastic chance to see the popular book come to life on stage. About The Creakers Musical

Lucy and the other Whiffington kids hadn’t thought about a life without grown-ups. They’re always there. Until, one morning, they’re not! As the kids run riot through the town, reluctant hero Lucy and some unlikely friends set out to solve the biggest mystery of their lives. It’s a journey that will take them underneath her bed, into a back-to-front and inside-out world… the world of the Creakers.

Based on Tom Fletcher’s acclaimed book, The Creakers is a funny, heartfelt story that celebrates the differences that can help us make a difference. Following its world premiere at Theatre Royal Plymouth in autumn 2024, it transfers to London for the Christmas season.

Creative Team

The Creakers is adapted by Miranda Lawson, with music and lyrics by Tom Fletcher. Fletcher is best known as a member of the pop-rock group McFly but has become a best-selling children’s author with Christmasaurus and Space Band. Packed with cheeky humour and loveable characters, his storytelling springs from page to stage with catchy songs added in. The show has additional orchestrations from Fletcher’s bandmates Danny Jones and Dougie Poynter.

The Creakers is directed and choreographed by Theatre Royal Plymouth Associate Director Tom Jackson Greaves, whose other credits include Whistle Down the Wind and Priscilla Queen of the Desert.
