Dougal is upbeat, naive and British. He’s flown from the UK to New York for his dad’s second wedding - a dad he’s never really met or known. At the airport, sister of the bride Robin is waiting to pick him up. She’s an NYC native through and through, busy, late for work and not hanging around to see the sights.Love at first sight? Or even attraction at first sight? Definitely not! But as the wedding approaches and the whole of the Big Apple at their feet, who knows what could happen?
This brand-new British musical premiered at Kiln Theatre over Christmas 2023 and was hailed by critics as a “charming” (Time Out) two-hander that captures the excitement and delights of Hallmark and Richard Curtis films… with a few twists to keep it from being too feather-light!
