High school graduation should be the beginning of Billy’s future. But when he finds letters written to him by his mother, who he had been told had abandoned him as a child, he sets off on a journey with his best friend Scoot to uncover the truth about his past and his connection to a woman he never knew.

Drawing on a balance of romance and cheeky humour whilst also delving into a deeply resonant story, will Billy be able to understand his place in the world?

The History of Wild About You

The musical premiered in two sell-out staged concerts at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in March 2024. The original book was written by Eric Holmes and featured musical direction, orchestrations, and arrangements by Daniel Edmonds. The concert featured a star line up including Eric McCormack, Rachel Tucker and Todrick Hall.

The Creative Team of Wild About You

The updated book for this musical is by Dani Stoller, an American playwright and actor whose plays include Easy Women Loose Cigarettes, Accepts With Pleasure and The Voices on Blackwell Island. Music and lyrics are by Chillina Kennedy, a Broadway star whose credits include Jesus Christ Superstar and Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.

Produced by Brian Spector and Eric McCormack, the creative team includes Kristin Hanggi as director, Daniel Edmonds as music supervisor, music director, orchestrator and arranger, and associate producer Caitlin McNeilage.
