Location
Manchester’s Palace Theatre is just a few minutes from St Peter’s Square, which contains Manchester’s Town Hall and Central Library. Manchester Art Gallery is just off the square, with Bridgewater Hall and the O2 Ritz being neighbouring music venues. Some casual eateries are available on Oxford Road, and there is an even wider range of amenities in the streets surrounding St Peter’s Square. Transport links are good, making the theatre accessible for patrons.
Rail
Oxford Road Station is located diagonally across a junction from the Palace Theatre. Exit the station on Station Approach, then walk down to the junction. Cross Whitworth Street West and turn right, crossing Oxford Street to the theatre.
Tram
St Peter’s Square tram stop is a few minutes away from the theatre. From the tram, walk to the Oxford Street junction, keeping Manchester Central Library on the right. Turn left so the library is behind you, and walk down Oxford Street. You will pass various storefronts and cross several roads as you continue on Oxford Street. The theatre will be on your right, a couple of minutes down the road.
Bus
Several bus routes run down Oxford Street and stop outside of the theatre, including: 50, 130, 191 and 197. Further routes are available around St Peter’s Square and Albert Square.
Car
NCP car parks Oxford Street and Manchester Palace are a few minutes from the theatre. Costs vary, but a discount is available when you validate your car parking ticket at the Palace Theatre.
