Aida Tickets

Metropolitan Opera House

Verdi’s breathtaking opera earns its place as one of the greats, with a gripping story of love and duty set to a magnificent score.

Verdi’s epic political spectacle returns

An intimate love story set against the backdrop of Ancient Egypt, Aida at the Metropolitan Opera House is an event that must not be missed. Verdi’s beloved opera is back in New York for a limited season this year.

Ethiopian Princess Aida has been captured by the Egytpians, and held as a bargaining chip between the two warring countries. When she falls in love with ambitious General Radamès, the pair are agonisingly torn between loyalty to their countries and their passion for each other.

Verdi’s Aida is one of the most celebrated and magnificent operas, packed with momentous music and a story that expertly balances the poltical and personal. In this new Met Opera production, conductor Paolo Carignani leads the company through tumultuous emotions and power struggles against a towering backdrop of Egypt’s iconic walls and monuments.

The Aida New York cast includes soprano Latonia Moore (Porgy and Bess; Fire Shut Up in My Bones), sharing the lead role with rising star Michelle Bradley. Mezzo-sopranos Anita Rachvelishvili and Olesya Petrova alternate as Amneris, with tenors Brian Jagde and Marcelo Álvarez as Radamès.

Book Aida tickets to witness one of opera’s greatest spectacles on stage.
