Frequently Asked Questions
How can I get cheap Broadway tickets?
There are several ways you can find discounted tickets for Broadway shows.
Rush tickets: Some productions offer last-minute rush tickets at a heavily discounted rate. These are sold on a first-come, first-served basis so it is important to be at the box office as soon as it opens on the day of the performance you wish to see. For shows that are practically sold out online, this is a good option and can lead to significant savings.
Lotteries: Certain productions now host digital lotteries that people can enter for the chance to book very cheap tickets. Most take place each morning, for the performance in the evening of the same day. Some highly popular shows run their lotteries once per week. Check the official site for the show you are interested in to see if they run a Broadway ticket lottery.
TKTS: The TKTS Booth is a famous landmark for New York theatergoers and offers discounted tickets for same-day or next-day performances. The TKTS Booth opens at 11am for matinee performances and 3pm for evening performances. The most famous TKTS Booth is located in Duffy Square, 7th Ave &, W 47th Street. Another, lesser-known booth is located at the David Rubenstein Atrium at the Lincoln Center.
Book online: Trusted ticket sellers can offer discounts on official tickets that you won't find elsewhere. SeatPlan has access to a range of cheap Broadway tickets that aren't available at the box office. Not only this, but by uploading your seat view photos to SeatPlan, you earn rewards points that can be redeemed toward SeatPlan Broadway Gift Cards, meaning you can make further savings on already discounted Broadway shows!
