Getting into the Venue

The Marquis Theatre is located on the third floor of the Marriott Marquis Hotel on West 46th Street. Patrons can take an elevator (located in the hotel’s lobby) up to the theater’s main entrance and lobby. Once in the theater, the Orchestra is step-free for anyone accessing the ten wheelchair designated spaces in row Y. The aisles are stepped, so patrons booking transfer seats in rows A, F, K, P, S and T should take care when getting to their seats. There is no elevator to the Mezzanine, which is one level up from the Orchestra. Transfer seats are not available on this level.

Customer Assistance

Theatre representatives can meet patrons in the lobby and escort them to their seats, although it is advisable to bring a companion where possible. All restrooms in the Marquis Theatre are accessible for patrons with limited ability, although those on the Mezzanine are not accessible for wheelchair users due to stairs. Restrooms are located just outside the lobby, on the Orchestra level, on the Mezzanine level, and in the third-floor common area. There is no coat check at the Marquis Theatre, so any extra luggage may not be admitted.

How to Book

For those who require special assistance or wish to book wheelchair spaces, it is important to book in advance and notify the theater of any special requirements. For further information, ticket bookings and assistance please call 212-382-0100 or email help@broadwaydirect.com or customerservice@nederlander.com.

Section Accessibility

Orchestra

The Orchestra is not step-free from street level; patrons with limited mobility are able to take an elevator from the Marquis Marriott Hotel lobby to the theatre lobby on the third floor. Once in the Orchestra, the aisles are stepped.

There are 10 wheelchair space and adjacent companion seats located in row Y at the rear of the Orchestra. These are accessed via a ramp. A further 12 aisle transfer seats are located at various points across the section, and patrons should expect a shallow step up and down to each row.

Theater staff are available to help patrons to accessible seating in the Orchestra.

Mezzanine

The Mezzanine is accessible by stairs only from the theater lobby, and once in the section, there may be one or two steps down per row to reach your seats. Handrails are available at stepped rows. As there is no accessible seating in the Mezzanine, this section is not advised as a first choice for patrons with limited mobility.
