Aldwych Theatre Capacity

The Aldwych Theatre has a capacity of 1160 seats. Section capacities are 548 Stalls, 337 Dress Circle and 275 Grand Circle. Use our interactive seating plan to view 4041 seat reviews and 2006 photos of views from seat.

The theatre is tall and narrow, and offers particularly good views from all levels. Some rows in the rear Stalls are slightly obstructed by the overhang from the Dress Circle, but this is unlikely to severely affect the overall viewing experience.

Good value seats

Seats 1-6 and 28-33 in Row A of the Dress Circle are often discounted as they follow the curve of the balcony and face the stage side-on. They are the least affected seats in the price reduction, so if you don’t mind having a slightly rounded view of the stage these seats may be a bargain.

Premium seats

The best views of the stage come from the front Stalls section, around Row B and C. Aim to sit as centrally as possible, although aisle seats fall within the proscenium and can be just as good.

Not the best, not the worst! When people lean forward you do miss a lot of downstage. Legroom is okay once you’re comfortable but isn’t in excess. Seat is comfortable enough for 45 mins and then could do with a stretch. All in all though it was okay. More
