Getting into the Venue

The Almeida Theatre main entrance is located on Almeida Street and is through two glass doors that can be pushed open. A sliding glass door is available to the left of this and can be operated by a push button. On entering the theatre, the bar is to the left and the Box Office to the right. Next to the Box Office is a ramp which leads to the adapted toilets and Stalls auditorium.

The Circle is only accessible by stairs, with handrails in place either side of the staircases. There is no customer lift available.

Customer Assistance

Staff are on hand to assist with navigation throughout the theatre. Wheelchair spaces are available step-free and seats will have been removed beforehand. The Almeida provides one wheelchair for loan. The Box Office can assist access customers with booking a taxi at the end of the performance.

Transfer seats are available to aisle seats in the front rows of the Stalls. Staff are able to assist, but it is recommended that a companion is brought. An at-seat service is available for those who are unable to access the bars. Staff will bring drinks to patrons in the auditorium.

How to Book

For those who require special assistance or wish to book wheelchair spaces and transfer seats, it is important to book in advance and notify the theatre. Access customers are able to purchase tickets at £19 for every performance. Companions will also be allowed this price where appropriate.
