Join a group of teens as they become first-time parents to bouncing baby simulators in this hilarious and touching show, on for six weeks only at The Other Palace.

What is Babies about?

Summer’s over, and Year 11 has arrived. For this group of 15 and 16-year-olds, childhood has waved goodbye and adulthood is beckoning. That means more partying, more responsibility, and an unexpected arrival… plastic robot babies?!

After a rise in pregnancies in the year above, the school’s sex education department is cracking down, and it’s up to nine classmates to keep their fake kids alive for a week. As the pressures of teenage and school life collide with the sudden demands of parenting a needy newborn, the students start to wonder… what do they really want? And what do they want to be?

Bradley Riches in Babies the Musical

Hot off appearances in Netflix phenomenon Heartstopper and Celebrity Big Brother, rising star Bradley Riches leads the cast of this world premiere. He is joined by a talented group of up-and-coming performers including Jaina Brock-Patel (SIX) and Ashley Goh (Furies and Elysium).

A New British Musical is Born!

With its thumping pop-rock score and relatable tale of growing pains for the Heartstopper and Sex Education generation, Babies is a new hit in the making for the UK theatre scene.

The show was conceived by writer and musician team Martha Geelan - who also directs - and Jack Godfrey, and following its concert debut, it created a buzz on social media amongst fans of new British musicals.
