Brought to the stage in a West London setting, the treasured rags-to-riches story of Cinderella has been loved for generations. Follow Cinders, who lives under the thumb of her selfish stepmother and her two stepsisters, who constantly make life difficult for her. When news of a ball comes to life, Cinders is determined to make it there with the help of her fairy godmother!

The History of Pantomime at Lyric Hammersmith
Lyric Hammersmith has been producing pantomimes in West London since the 19th century, where they are known for their contemporary spin on classic stories. After a long hiatus, the theatre’s former director, Sean Holmes, brought family pantomimes back to the stage with a production of Jack and the Beanstalk in 2008.
The last time Cinderella was staged at Lyric Hammersmith was in 2003, when it was written by Vikki Stone and directed by Tonderai Munyevu.

Joel Horwood is a British playwright. He has written pantomimes at the Lyric Hammersmith previously, including Dick Whittington and Jack and the Beanstalk. His other theatre credits include The Ocean at the End of the Lane, I Want My Hat Back, and The Little Match Girl.
Robin Belfield is an Associate Director for The Unicorn Theatre. His directing credits include Princess Essex, The Twits, Charlotte’s Web, and Mother Goose.
