The La Traviata Composer
La Traviata is one of the most famous works by Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi, whose other work includes Otello, Falstaff and Aida. La Traviata is one of his three hugely successful mid-career operas alongside Rigoletto and Il trovatore, and they contain some of the most emotive, soaring and well-known music in the genre.At the English National Opera, Richard Farnes returns to conduct La Traviata, with a cast including soprano Nicole Chevalier as Violetta, Jose Simerilla Romero as Alfredo and Roland Wood as Giorgio Germont.

My first Opera, it was actually an enjoyable experience with some incredible orchestrations, singers, solos and setting choices simply undertaken. I attended opening night and did feel that the pause between "acts" was a little longer than usual.
