Le Corsaire Tickets
Following an acclaimed run in 2016, English National Ballet’s Le Corsaire returns to the London Coliseum for a limited season. Join pirate Conrad and his girlfriend Medora on a swashbuckling adventure set to a live score performed by English National Ballet Philharmonic.
English National Ballet’s Le Corsaire makes its swashbuckling return to the London Coliseum, having enjoyed a lauded season at the venue back in 2016. Pronounced “a rollicking rom-com” by The Times, this bona fide ballet classic runs in the West End from 8 January 2020.
Anna-Marie Holmes’ lavish production has travelled worldwide, receiving high acclaim from Paris, Tokyo and beyond. So far, English National Ballet remains the only UK company to perform Le Corsaire (which means ‘the pirate’). The story is based on a poem written by Lord Byron in 1814.
An adventure played out on the high seas, Le Corsaire follows the daring pirate Conrad and his love Medora. Follow their story as they outwit their enemies, weather storms and ride the waves of destiny to see if happiness is waiting for them on the horizon.
The production is staged by director, choreographer and ballerina Anna-Marie Holmes (Don Quixote, Swan Lake). Set and costumes are the work of Hollywood’s Bob Ringwood.
A romantic and epic score is performed live by English National Ballet Philharmonic.
This heart-soaring romp combines the thrill of the high seas with the exquisite execution of the best in the ballet game. Catch Le Corsaire during its strictly limited season at the London Coliseum from 8 January 2020.

Excellent show, the storeytelling was great. The costumes are beautiful and the dancing varied but amazing. Also I really enjoyed the musical score played by a talented orchestra. Would thoroughly recommend.
