About the Legally Blonde Musical
Based on Amanda Brown’s novel and the 2001 film starring Reese Witherspoon, Legally Blonde is the story of sorority girl Elle Woods, who joins Harvard Law School to win back her boyfriend. As she comes up against staff and students who dismiss her as a dumb blonde, Elle realises that she can use her passion for all things pink and fashionable in unexpected ways.
Legally Blonde features a plethora of showstopping songs, including “Serious”, “So Much Better” and “Chip On My Shoulder”. The show premiered on Broadway in 2007 with Laura Bell Bundy starring as the original Elle Woods. It was nominated for several Tony Awards and ten Drama Desk Awards. The West End production opened in January 2010 and won three Olivier Awards, with Sheridan Smith leading. The last time it was staged was at the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre in 2022. This electric new revival comes to the West End following an incredibly successful UK and Ireland tour in 2026.

Amber Davies stars as Elle Woods. Recently a runner up in the 2025 series of Strictly Come Dancing, she returns to the London Coliseum, having previously originated the role of Jordan Baker in the London production of The Great Gatsby in 2025. Her other theatre credits include Pretty Woman, Back to the Future the Musical, Bring It On and 9 to 5 the Musical.

Legally Blonde the Musical features original music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe (Heathers) and Nell Benjamin (Mean Girls), and a book by Heather Hach. Nikolai Foster (Kinky Boots) directs.
The musical features choreography by Leah Hill (Kinky Boots), musical supervision and additional arrangements by Matt Spencer-Smith (Here & Now), set design by Colin Richmond (The Little Big Things), costume design by Tom Rogers (A Knight’s Tale The Musical), wigs, hair and make-up design by Sam Cox (Moulin Rouge The Musical), lighting design by Ben Cracknell (Clueless) and sound design by Adam Fisher (Evita).
