About the Percy Jackson Musical

When New York City teenager Percy Jackson discovers that he is the half-blood son of Greek god Poseidon, his life is turned upside down. Plunging headfirst into a world full of creatures and magic he could never have imagined before, Percy has to get a handle on his new powers, face up to his destiny, and learn how to be a hero.

Rick Riordan’s Mythical World On Stage

Fans of Rick Riordan’s best-selling fantasy series should be first in line as this incredible musical adaptation makes its London premiere! Bringing the story of The Lightning Thief alive with an electrifying rock score - songs include “Good Kid”, “Killer Quest” and “The Tree on the Hill” - and epic stage effects, the show received the stamp of approval from Off-Broadway audiences and critics, who declared it “worthy of the gods” (Time Out).

Creative Team

The Lightning Thief musical is adapted by Joe Tracz, who wrote the book for Tony Award-nominated cult favourite Be More Chill. Rob Rokicki’s score, filled with electric guitars and thumping drumbeats, propels the story forward while keeping your toes tapping along.

The show is directed by Lizzi Gee, whose work as a choreographer includes Groundhog Day at the Old Vic, Upstart Crow in the West End and Birmingham Rep’s Spitting Image.
