Olivier Award-winning comedy troupe Mischief Theatre bring a dazzling new show to the West End, following their international success with The Play That Goes Wrong. All bets are off as the group attempt to improvise a brand new Hollywood blockbuster each night. Mischief Move Night plays a limited season at London’s Arts Theatre throughout the festive period.
Based on their smash-hit Edinburgh Fringe Festival favourite Lights! Camera! Improvise, Mischief Movie Night sees the cast take audience suggestions to try and create a movie live on stage! With genre, location and the title changing each night, they have only the help of a fast-paced technical team and onstage musicians. Expect chaos and hilarity, complete with rewinds, fast forwards, directors’ cuts and deleted scenes.
With plenty of jokes guaranteed, the cast sees many original Mischief Theatre members return to the West End, including Josh Elliot as Not Sure, Dave Hearn as Uncertain, Harry Kershaw as No Idea, Henry Lewis as Don’t Know Yet, Ellie Morris as Couldn’t Tell You, Charlie Russell as TBC, Jonathan Sayer as Who Knows and Henry Shields as Guess Who.
Mischief Movie Night is produced by Kenny Wax Ltd, and is created by the multi-award winning group behind hit comedies The Play That Goes Wrong, Peter Pan Goes Wrong and The Comedy About a Bank Robbery. Showstopper! Adam Meggido joins the production as improvisation consultant, with set design by Nigel Hook and lighting by David Howe. Chris Ash and Richard Baker join the cast as onstage musicians.
Mischief Theatre are preparing to celebrate their 10th anniversary next year, with three acclaimed comedies already under their belt. With The Play That Goes Wrong enjoying a successful Broadway run, all of their plays have enjoyed sold-out national and international tours.
Playing a limited season at the Arts Theatre over the festive season, Mischief Movie Night plays from 13 December 2017 to 27 January 2018.
