By Alice Perry
19 August 2025

Planning a trip to London for the dazzling ABBA Voyage concert? Between the lights, the music, and the pure nostalgia of ABBA’s greatest hits, it’s a night you won’t forget – and the right hotel can make it even better. If you’re looking for hotels close to ABBA Voyage, SeatPlan’s Theresa checked in to The Stratford Hotel, a stylish stay with fast transport links that get you from your room to the ABBA Arena in around 10 minutes. Here’s how it delivers on comfort, convenience, and location for fans looking to make the most of their concert adventure. If you’re new to ABBA Voyage, read our complete guide to understand what makes this show unmissable.

Where is The Stratford Hotel located?

The Stratford Autograph Collection Hotel is located very close to Stratford International Station and Westfield Shopping Centre. Westfield is the 4th largest shopping centre in the UK, so definitely add it to your list if you’re here for a longer weekend stay, along with lots of other attractions nearby such as Olympic Park.

Outside The Stratford Hotel

When travelling from outside of London, The Stratford is very easy to get to. The high speed train from St Pancras International Station takes just six minutes! You can also travel from Central London on the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) and London Underground.

Parking at the Stratford ABBA Voyage Hotel

Our booking confirmation email stated that off-site parking was available at £8 per day. Disabled parking and Electric Car Parking points are located at International Way NCP Car Park which was just 0.2m away from the hotel.

How much does a room cost?

We paid £220 for a King Room for 2 guests, with breakfast, on Wednesday 23 July.

This was booked direct with the hotel to get the ABBA exclusive package. You can pay the same for just the room through other agents, but the package for ABBA Voyage guests has to be booked with the hotel.

There were no King Rooms at check in so we got a free upgrade to a studio which costs almost double the price when we compared them on booking.com!

What perks do ABBA Voyage guests receive?

When we checked in, the receptionist let us know about several perks associated with the exclusive ABBA package. These included:

  • A room upgrade to a Medium Room
  • Discounts of 20% off food and drink
  • Complimentary à la carte breakfast
  • A private taxi transfer to and from the venue
  • Complimentary Wi-Fi
  • Late check out at 2pm – we used it to our advantage, storing our suitcases at Reception before leaving to go and visit friends!

ABBA Voyage package bookings are also fully refundable if you cancel 48 hours or more before your check-in date.

Arrival and Check In

When leaving Stratford International Station, we immediately saw the very smart hotel looming ahead of us. It virtually sits on the crossroads. We noticed on either side of the entrance there were outdoor terraces with seating and planted areas. This was a very nice area to take in a breath of fresh air unlike city hotels of a similar style in Central London.

As we entered the foyer we were greeted by a friendly maitre de who directed us towards the check-in desk. The receptionist initially apologised, saying the upgrades were all full, but on further investigation found us an accessible studio room.

As this is cited as an ABBA experience hotel I asked about the fact that I didn’t detect any references to ABBA, neither background music or anything ABBAesque. She replied that they offer several genres each day with a live musician/singer on the weekends. The itinerary did sound interesting but not what I expected.

There was a good inviting atmosphere in the light and airy bar area, where people were enjoying their drinks and having meetings. The very well stocked bar was straight ahead of the foyer with Kitchen E20 (a dining area) on the right and comfortable seating to the left.

Plants were strategically placed to create almost an extension of the outdoor terraces which we felt created the “outdoor in” interior design style that’s popular at the moment. It was a contemporary, stylish and spacious area to relax in comfort – and conversations weren’t compromised thanks to the sound absorbent walls and ceilings incorporated into the design. We found it to be a good spot to rendezvous and enjoy a pre show drink, especially with the 20% discount!

Fans dressed up for ABBA Voyage in the hotel reception area!

The party had already started back at the hotel with lots of ABBA fans already excitedly congregating in the lobby and the reception area. They were taking photos of themselves, and lots of them were all dressed up, looking forward to the show, and to making fabulous memories.

Getting to ABBA Voyage – Private Taxi Transfer

The Stratford Hotel is a half an hour walk away from ABBA Voyage so not for the fainthearted! You can also get there from Stratford DLR Station, which is under 10 minutes’ walk away, to Pudding Mill Lane DLR Station.

As mentioned, our booking included a private taxi to and from the arena, which we organised immediately when we arrived. Texts were sent to my phone and the taxi literally collected us on the doorstep of the hotel. We had a fantastic evening – check our ABBA Voyage Dance Booth review for more – and on the way back, the driver waits very close to the venue and notifies which car to look for including colour, brand and registration. Feels very VIP!

When booking your return taxi journey, take into account that following the show there’s lots going on, memorabilia to purchase and bars still open – everyone is buzzing as they pour out of the venue. The taxi perk is a real advantage as you can choose your own time for pick up.

The Room

Wow, wow wow… We were delighted with our allocated studio! A light and airy corner studio with floor to ceiling windows. It overlooked the busy crossroads with plenty going on but we didn’t hear a sound. The interior was contemporary and beautifully designed with comfort and accessibility being key. The bed was so achingly heavenly as was the bedding!

The room had a great coffee machine, mini bar and excellent room service, as well as a large  flat screen TV (which I fully expected would be tuned into ABBA but found only the hotel guide and TV channels).

Our bathroom, being an accessible studio room, was quite large with a walk-in shower and two separate mirrored bays for getting ready and putting on make up. The black fittings against the marble walls were a triumph, and we were very pleasantly surprised and impressed by the Jo Loves toiletries.

The plant theme continues in the rooms and you can even request a seed kit to take and plant at home if you so wish! A delightful stay in a great, friendly, accessible hotel.

Food & Drink

Dining in Kitchen E20 was a very enjoyable experience in comfortable, spacious surroundings.

Dinner was excellent with a seasonal menu served from an open kitchen. I ordered the Cod Loin and my guest the Bavette steak dish and both were delicious. They were accompanied with Jersey Royals and broccoli sides. We decided on a cocktail and glass of wine and the bill came to £79.30 including the 20% service charge.

A delicious seasonal dinner before the show

Breakfast was a British menu of juices, cereals, yogurts and hot dishes to order, with coffee and tea available to drink. This was included in our room rate.

I would definitely recommend making time to dine here. Gardeners at the hotel take care of the home grown produce and the chef uses the seasonal fruit and vegetables in his dishes.

Verdict: Is The Stratford the best hotel near ABBA Voyage?

Without a doubt, The Stratford is a great choice if you’re looking for luxury hotels near ABBA Voyage. The rooms, amenities and location are all fantastic, and the perks – especially the taxi to and from the show – make the experience feel even more special and seamless. Lots of ABBA fans stay here so we would 100% recommend it for a trip to see the concert, and it would be perfect for a longer weekend break too.
