Get to Know The Arts at Marble Arch
Located just off the bustling area of Oxford Street, this new venue will feature over 500 seats. The Arts at Marble Arch will be built in the Royal Parks Conservation Area towards the back of the 19th-century monument, which was originally created as a grand entrance to Buckingham Palace.
The venue has been designed with state-of-the-art facilities, including a grandstand and a 17-metre stage. The Arts at Marble Arch is expected to have a lifespan of 20 years and attract half a million people through its doors. There are plans to relocate the theatre elsewhere in the city once the Arts Theatre is back up and running again in the future.

You will be able to access the theatre easily via public transport, with underground and bus connections just a stone’s throw away from the theatre itself.
The cabinet member for climate, ecology, culture and air quality, Ryan Jude, is thrilled by the construction of The Arts at Marble Arch, which not only expands what is on offer to see on the stage in the West End, but will also “preserve the legacy, jobs, artistic programming and cultural output of the Arts whilst it undergoes a transformational upgrade.”

Who Designed and Built The Arts at Marble Arch?
The Arts at Marble Arch has been designed by Reed Watts architects, the same team behind spaces like Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre and Salisbury Playhouse. This new venue will be built by OSMO Projects, with Tegan Summer Theatricals and HH Productions being the co-founders of the new venue. HH Productions, run by Louis Hartshorn and Brian Hook, has produced over 130 productions across the globe, including The Choir of Man and Amelie the Musical.
Hartshorn gave a statement on the news, saying that this new venue would maintain “the programming and spirit of the Arts Theatre and keeping as many of our incredible staff team together as possible.”
What Is Playing at The Arts at Marble Arch?
The first production to be staged at The Arts at Marble Arch will be Burlesque the Musical, with performances beginning on 12 September. The musical, based on the hit movie that starred Cher and Christina Aguilera, will shimmy back to the London stage after a triumphant summer season at the Savoy Theatre in 2025.

Burlesque the Musical follows Ali Rose as she seeks to find her voice and family in an underground burlesque club in New York. The run is planned until 31 January 2027 with further productions heading to The Arts at Marble Arch to be announced.
