LocationLocated in the heart of Central London and the famous West End, the Phoenix Theatre is close to Soho and Chinatown’s nightlife, as well as Seven Dials and Oxford Street shopping. The Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus bustle and amenities are both within 10 minutes of the theatre. The National Gallery and National Portrait Gallery are a few minutes away, as are Covent Garden’s many shops and restaurants. Before setting out on your journey, it is best to check www.tfl.gov.uk for any disruptions.
RailThe Phoenix Theatre is approximately 15-18 minutes from Charing Cross Station. On exiting the station, cross The Strand and turn left onto Duncannon Street. Walk to the end, then turn right on Charing Cross Road and continue for around 12 minutes. Pass the National Portrait Gallery, Leicester Square and the Palace Theatre, and the Phoenix Theatre is on the right, on the corner of Phoenix Street.
TubeTottenham Court Road tube station is about 5 minutes from the Phoenix Theatre, with access to the Northern and Central lines. From the station, exit onto Charing Cross Road and turn right, walking away from Oxford Street. Stay on Charing Cross Road for a few minutes, and the theatre will be on the left side of the road.
You can also reach the theatre within 10 minutes from Covent Garden and Leicester Square tube stations, which also provide access to the Piccadilly and Northern lines.
BusBus routes on Charing Cross Road include: 14, 19, 24, 29, 38 and 176. On Oxford Street, you can also access bus routes: 10, 25, 55, 73, 98 and 390. These routes are easily reachable from the Phoenix Theatre.
CarThe Q-Park Theatreland scheme covers the Phoenix Theatre, giving patrons 50% off parking fees when tickets are validated by theatre staff. The Chinatown and Soho car parks are the closest to the theatre. Pricing is £22 for up to 3 hours, and £29.50 for 4 hours.
The theatre falls inside London’s Congestion Charge Zone, which costs £11.50 between 7am and 6pm. Drop-offs are allowed outside the theatre on Charing Cross Road.
