Shirley Valentine Tickets

Duke of York's Theatre

Sheridan Smith returns to the West End in Willy Russell’s one-woman play about a housewife who packs it all in for an adventure in Greece.

Sheridan Smith heads to Greece

Olivier Award winner Sheridan Smith returns to the West End in a revival of Willy Russell’s joyful rom-com Shirley Valentine. The feel-good story of a housewife’s self-discovery in Greece runs for 12 weeks at the Duke of York’s Theatre.

Shirley is a wife, a mother, and a woman who’s lost her own identity. Now middle-aged with her youthful dreams packed away, she finds herself talking to the kitchen wall as she cooks eggs and chips for her husband. Is this all there is to life? Maybe not. Shirley’s friend has won two tickets to Greece and adventure awaits…

Willy Russell's life-affirming one-woman play was adapted into a film in 1989. This new revival is directed by Matthew Dunster (2:22 A Ghost Story).

Shirley Valentine tickets are a fantastic opportunity to enjoy Sheridan Smith in her element on stage. Smith is one of the UK’s most popular performers, with credits including Funny Girl, Legally Blonde and a BAFTA-winning performance in Mrs Biggs.

This story of one housewife throwing caution (and her apron) to the wind is an unmissable treat. Book tickets for Shirley Valentine and enjoy this joyous play for a limited season in London.

Uncertain to start with as the wonderful Pauline Collins performance remains so vivid in the memory. However, Sheridan Smith is really a marvel. She is so likable, so empathetic, her timing is perfect – you cannot help but be taken on her journey wit Read more

I didn't know how this would work as a one woman show, but it was superb. The only critisism I would have, would be to peform more mid stage rather than at the front for some scenes due to the shape of the theatre. Not Sheridan's fault, she knocked i Read more

This is a great play. Well written with warmth and a lot of humour. The direction engaged me throughout, it was cleverly subtle. Love the use of colours in the set, costume and lighting. Throughly enjoyed it and Sheridan’s superb performance.
