Six the Musical Tickets

Arts Theatre, London

Closed 16th October 2018

Following a sold-out London premiere at the beginning of the year, hilarious new musical SIX returns to the Arts Theatre London as part of a limited national tour. Prepare to laugh your socks off as the notorious Henry VIII’s wives step out of the history books and into the spotlight to tell their version of events.

Divorced, beheaded… Live! Following a smash-hit run at the 2017 Edinburgh Fringe Festival and a London premiere at the Arts Theatre earlier in the year, brand new musical SIX returns to the West End as part of a wider national tour. A hilarious musical that sees the history of Henry VIII and his six wives spun on its head, the production is presented by Kenny Wax and Global Musicals. SIX transforms the ill-fated Tudor queens into pop princesses who are prepared to sing their way out of the history books and into the spotlight. With a hugely funny score that includes catchy tunes such as “Ex Wives”, “Haus of Holbein” and “Don’t Lose Ur Head”, this is a pop concert that remixes over five hundred years of historical heartbreak into one hour of 21st century sass. Conceived and created by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, who met each other at university, SIX is their debut musical together. The pair also make up two-thirds of award-winning theatre company Hot Gay Time Machine, whose show Hot Gay Time Machine also ran at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, before playing a sold-out season at London’s The Other Palace. Originally performed with the Cambridge University Musical Theatre Society, SIX's Edinburgh Fringe run earned it a nomination for the blog Musical Theatre Review’s inaugural Best Musical Award. The run also attracted the attention of producers Kenny Wax and Global Musicals, who gave the show its professional debut at the Arts Theatre. Casting includes Jarneia Richard-Noel as Catherine of Aragon, Millie O'Connell as Anne Boleyn, Natalie Paris as Jane Seymour, Alexia McIntosh as Anne of Cleves, Aimie Atkinson as Katherine Howard and Maiya Quansah-Breed as Catherine Parr. Directed by Lucy Moss and Jamie Armitage, SIX features set design by Emma Bailey and costume design by Gabriella Slade. A hilarious musical comedy that is a guaranteed exciting night out, SIX returns to London’s Arts Theatre to play a limited season from 30 August to 23 September 2018, with a gala night on 6 September 2018.

The show was amazing. 60 percent of the cast were off due to illness and injuries so one of the original queens Genesis stepped in. After only having a day to go through the show. She didn’t do most of the choreography but still slayed the show.

Incredible show. All the actors were amazing singers and the songs are fun and cheesy. Think Horrible Histories for adults. Alexia McIntosh as Anne of Cleves was our standout - her comedic timing is second to none and she looks like she's having a bl Read more
