About Spitting Image Live

Tom Cruise has a mission from King Charles, Greta Thunberg duets with Stormzy, and Putin and Xi are watching it all unfold from the best seats in the house… the Spitting Image musical riffs on the biggest events of recent years, as an unholy alliance of famous faces team up to save (or possibly destroy) civilisation as we know it.

Spitting Image The Musical premiered at the Birmingham Rep in 2023, 40 years after the satirical show was first filmed in the city, and proves that is as effective as ever when it comes to poking fun at the rich and famous. Expect sketches covering Carrie and Boris Johnson, Paddington Bear, the Royal Family and many more recognisable faces, all at the mercy of the iconic rubber puppets and a team of inspired writers and impressionists!

Spitting Image The Musical Creative Team

Original Spitting Image co-creator Roger Law heads up an incredible creative team for this live show, alongside director Sean Foley (Upstart Crow; The Play What I Wrote) and contributing writers including Foley, Al Murray and Matt Fforde.

You can even expect some brand-new material when you visit because the show is edited to keep up with the news cycle.

Those of a certain age will know that 'Spitting Image' is a bit of a British institution so I was very sceptical when I heard a musical was being made of one of my favourite comedy shows. I shouldn't have been concerned. I haven't laughed this much Read more

Go if you like political satire and silliness. Exactly like the tv show and very up to date subject matter! Don’t go if youre a card holding Tory, you might get upset… or if you’re easily offended
