What is The Enormous Crocodile about?

Deep in the jungle, the Enormous Crocodile is on the prowl, and he’s got a very particular craving… juicy little children! Armed with “secret plans and clever tricks,” this beastly reptile slithers his way through the jungle, determined to snap up a tasty treat. But the other animals have had enough of his greedy ways, and with a bit of teamwork (and a lot of courage), they just might be able to stop him before it’s too late!

This lively musical adaptation of Roald Dahl’s classic book is packed with cheeky humour, thrilling adventure, and toe-tapping tunes. The Enormous Crocodile Cast and Creative Team

This mischievous musical is brought to life by an award-winning creative team. Suhayla El-Bushra (The Ramayana, Hollyoaks) adapts Roald Dahl’s classic tale with a script full of humour and heart, while Ahmed Abdullahi Gallab, known for his work as Sinkane, provides the show’s infectious melodies alongside additional music and lyrics by Tom Brady (Romeo and Juliet, Lord of the Rings).

The production is developed and directed by Emily Lim (I Want My Hat Back), with co-direction and inventive puppetry design by Toby Olié (Life of Pi, Pinocchio). Set and costume design is by Fly Davis (Caroline, or Change, Standing at the Sky’s Edge), with puppetry co-design and supervision by Daisy Beattie (Ocean at the End of the Lane). With this top-tier team at the helm, The Enormous Crocodile is packed with creative flair, jungle magic, and larger-than-life fun!
