The team behind this intimate family portrait are two of the biggest names in film and theatre. Jez Butterworth is a multi-award-winning playwright who wrote Jerusalem, widely claimed to be one of the greatest plays of the 21st century. His other works include The Ferryman and Mojo.For his latest play, Butterworth resumes his partnership with Academy Award-winning director Sam Mendes (American Beauty; Skyfall), whose stage credits include epic historical play The Lehman Trilogy. The pair previously collaborated on The Ferryman, which was the fastest-selling show in the Royal Court Theatre’s history and a runaway success in London and on Broadway.
Casting for the show includes Laura Donnelly (The Ferryman), Leanne Best (Sweat, Ripper Street), Ophelia Lovibond (W1A, The Effect) and Helena Wilson (Vogue World, Jack Absolute Flies Again).

Lots of wit and incredible performances. Really enjoyed this play despite it having a somewhat stunted storyline, but sometimes theatre can just be enjoyed rather than need to be extremely existential.
