Down on his luck, he decides to improve his fortunes by swindling a couple of wealthy housewives. But Mistress Ford and Mistress Page are wise to his charms, and they’re determined to wring out a few laughs as they lead him on a wild goose chase…

Cast and Creative Team
The Merry Wives of Windsor is directed by Globe Associate Director Sean Holmes, who previously directed Much Ado About Nothing and The Comedy of Errors in 2023-2024. Holmes’s productions of Shakespeare’s funniest plays have been called “an exercise in pure joy” (The Times) and “a hoot” (Time Out) that revels in their laugh-out-loud moments. Expect the outdoor venue (and its opportunities for audience interaction) to be in full bloom when the merry wives arrive!
